Storytelling is a major creative thrust these days in both public relations and marketing. Scott Simon's How to Tell a Story offers practical storytelling tips — and good ones at that. YouTube also offers suggestions of other videos on storytelling. One beef: using video with only a talking head is the epitome of bad story telling. Video needs to do what video does best — compelling images. With very rare exceptions, a talking head is not compelling. If you don't have or can't create interesting video, skip the talking head and write an old-fashioned article with a compelling story.
