Description: The VP of Communications & Marketing leads the Communications and Marketing Division setting direction and manages staff to achieve communication, patient education and revenue and margin goals. The position is responsible for 19 staff comprising four groups: member and web communications; public relations; marketing; and patient education. Annual revenue responsibility is approximately $7.1 million. This person is responsible for developing strategies to effectively describe and promote the Academy, its services & products - to members, non-members, and the general public. He/she develops, manages and coordinates development of targeted messages to members, non-members, and the general public. Working with other divisions, the VP develops business strategies to expand product offerings nationally and internationally. This position counsels top management on effective communication strategies and reports to the CEO. Candidates should have extensive and broad communications expertise developing and implementing traditional and digital communications strategies for external and internal groups, demonstrated leadership managing a communications staff, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
