PR Grants Awarded by CyberAlert To 16 Not-for-Profit Organizations

STRATFORD, CT. — 01/17/05 — CyberAlert, Inc. (www.cyberalert.com), the worldwide media monitoring and press clipping service, today announced the 16 not-for-profit organizations who will receive 2005 Public Relations Grants. Each grant is for one free year of online news monitoring service using CyberAlert 4.0. The total value of the grants approximates $35,000. This is the second year that CyberAlert has awarded the grants.

European Space Agency/Hubble www.eso.org	Germany	Education and outreach for the Hubble Space Telescope in Europe.
Islamic Society of North America www.isna.net	Indiana	Represents the Muslim community of North America, offering training programs and conferences that address issues of importance to Muslims and participating in interfaith dialogue.
Justice at Stake www.justiceatstake.org	Washington, DC	National partnership of more than 40 organizations that work together to keep America's courts fair, impartial and independent.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (Canada) www.madd.ca	Ontario	Conducts programs to stop impaired driving and to support victims.
National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) www.nami.org	Virginia	Grassroots mental health organization in the U.S., providing education, advocacy and research in support of people living with mental illness and their families.
National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome www.dontshake.com	Utah	Conducts research, provides technical assistance, trains professionals, supports parents and establishes programs that will prevent the shaking and abuse of infants and children.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) www.nlbm.com	Missouri	The world's only museum dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of African-American baseball and its impact on the social advancement of America.
Response-Ability www.ravolunteers.com	Pennsylvania	Trains, coaches and inspires innovative volunteer teachers to provide quality education in inner city schools and international sites.
Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation www.slsb.org	California	Dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families and helping children address the social, emotional and medical aspects of living with illness.
The ACT Foundation of Canada www.actfoundation.ca	Ontario	Conducts cardiopulmonary resuscitation education program for high school students throughout Canada.
The Jason Foundation, Inc. www.jasonfoundation.com	Tennessee	Promotes prevention of youth suicide through education programs.
Youth Service America www.ysa.org	Washington, DC	Dedicated to increasing the quantity and quality of volunteer opportunities for young people, ages 5-25, to serve locally, nationally, and globally.

Over 300 not-for-profit organizations applied to CyberAlert for the PR Grants. The CyberAlert selection process favored national and international organizations with innovative services that benefit the young, the poor, the mentally ill, the abused, minorities, better government, and scientific research.
